Confesso che ero partito molto prevenuto circa la visione di questo film.
E ho dovuto ricredermi. La trama è alquanto demenziale, deliziosamente, e il mondo descritto è un dejà vu, ma tutto scorre frenetico in sospensione tra trash, politicamente scorretto, citazionista più o meno acuto, ed inoltre monta una certa curiosità nell'individuare camei su camei che si prestano a nutrire ancora di più il circo con la loro presenza.
Non sono un tifoso di Ben Stiller eppure l'ho apprezzato abbastanza: il senso del ridicolo è graffiante, la scenografia è rutilante, variopinta e kitsh, le caratterizzazioni sono così parodistiche da essere paradossalmente molto verosimili.
Insomma è un filmetto di evasione, forse socioantropologica più profonda di quanto possa apparire, ma è intrattenimento allo stato puro.
