Movie plot
John Constantine has literally been to Hell and back. When he teams up with a policewoman to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles.

Film controverso, a mio avviso, pieno di ottime idee che sono sviluppate in modo discontinuo. Per un Satana molto personale, originale nel suo porsi, si deve fare qualche sforzo nel non ridere di fronte ad un Arcangelo impersonificato da una Tilda Swinton che avrebbe bisogno di un callifugo.
Esistono esagerazioni e compiacimenti, alcuni buoni e altri meno, (Costantine iperdecadente e maledetto a volte tracima), ma la trama è originale, godibile e il soprannaturale tendente all'orrorifico, se scenografato con un certo piglio personale, alla lunga cattura e piace, tant'è che solo della saga dell'esorcista ne hanno fatto tre films.
Ritmo, atmosfere e storia sono densi e il film nonostante qualche sbavatura decolla.
