Si respira un'atmosfera particolare in questo film: un'aria di ribellione e di conquista di spazi che trascende dalla storia per eplodere in una sorta di impegno sociale che sotto l'apparenza leggera ha qualcosa di profondo da dire.
Protagonisti in ottima forma, tutti, e su tutti Terence Stamp. Battute talvolta al vetriolo, tormentoni deliziosi (il ricordino degli Abba nel barattolino è un must), scenari mozzafiato, colonna sonora infarcita di hits degli anni settanta (Ce Ce Peniston dovrà l'immortalità a questo film).
Un'ottima commedia, agrodolce, ridanciana, fondamentalmente malinconica, appena appena populista nel finale, ma molto godibile.
