Movie plot

Daigo, a cellist, is laid off from his orchestra and moves with his wife back to his small hometown where the living is cheaper.

Thinking he’s applying for a job at a travel agency he finds he’s being interviewed for work with departures of a more permanent nature – as an undertaker’s assistant.

    Una storia garbata e piena di rispetto per la vita e la morte, mai sopra le righe, abbastanza profonda da lasciare diversi spunti di riflessione che fanno assurgere la pellicola alla dimensione di film non banale.
    Dialoghi anche profondi, pennellate reverenti nei confronti delle ritualità giapponesi, un invogliare ad approfondire sulla socialità nipponica.
    Film molto interessante
